    • Simple theology
      • Believes Jesus was born from God
  • Married Clothilde
    • A Normative Christian
      • Founded by Theodosius
      • Beliefs based on the Nicene Creed
        • Complicated theology
    • Brings a good friend, Remigius, a Normative bishop
  • Goal is to consolidate the Frankish kingdom
    • By having warriors rule tribal kingdoms
      •  Warriors give Clovis military power in return

 

About the Author: Gregory of Tours

   Gregory of Tours was a Normative bishop. He composed the stories about Clovis about 100 years after it took place in history. Therefore, some of the information of this part in history has been changed. For example, in the stories Clovis is said to be a pagan not an Arian Christian. Even though some parts have been changed these stories are a valuable part to the history of the period.
